Hamentashen are crippled by the fact that their goodness is determined by the filling put inside them. Thus, there is a stochastic fluctuation of quality amoungst hamentashen. With latkes, or any friend potato, for that matter, the quality is guaranteed as it is very, very hard to screw up throwing something in the fryer. Message to Irene: Wrong.
